     Did you know every seven minutes a woman is diagnosed with gynecologic cancer That's 88,000 mothers, sisters, wives, and daughters in 2012 alone

     Thanks to early detection and prevention, five-year survival rates in New Mexico for cervical, ovarian, and uterine cancers is approaching 72 percent.

 Here are four things women should do to maintain their gynecologic health.

  • Get to know your family history
  • Conduct an online cancer risk assessment at www.wcn.org
  • Ask questions – educate yourself about gynecologic cancers
  • Make an appointment for your annual gynecologic exam and PAP test!
