AFSCME Council 18 Convention - Day One

AFSCME New Mexico Biennial Convention will be held Friday, August 25, 2017 and Saturday, August 26, 2017.

The two-day convention will be held at the UA Local Union 412, Plumbers and Pipefitters Hall, 510 San Pedro Dr. SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108. Registration begins at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 25, 2017 and close at 4:00pm. Registration will re-open Saturday, August 26, 2017, from 7:30 am until 9:00 am after which time registration will be officially closed. The convention officially convenes Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 9:30 am.  Information regarding housing accommodations will be forthcoming. 

Council 18 is pleased to provide two workshops Friday afternoon, August 25, focusing on building power in the workplace and leadership skills building.  The workshops will begin at 2:00 pm and will conclude by 4:45 pm. The workshops are open to the general membership; participants do not have to be delegates to the convention to attend.

The business to be conducted at this convention will include, but not be limited to, consideration of proposed amendments to the Council 18 Constitution and the nomination and election of Officers, Executive Board Members and Trustees.
