AFSCME Council 18 Endorsements - New Mexico

As people in public service we know what a difference it makes when we elect leaders who have our backs. We deserve leaders who respect our work and that is exactly why our AFSCME Council 18 has endorsed the following candidates for the 2025 Albuquerque elections.

How you vote is entirely up to you. But following interviews and a deep look at where the candidates stand on issues affecting us in the workplace, your co-workers recommend the following candidates in the November 4, 2025 Albuquerque elections:

Mayor: Tim Keller

City Council District 1: Ahren Griego

City Council District 3: Klarissa Peña

City Council District 5: Dan Lewis

City Council District 9: Melani Buchanan Farmer and Renee Grout (dual endorsement)
